I graduated from Bilkent University with a B.Sc. in Molecular Biology and Genetics in 2020. Following my undergraduate studies, I worked in a large-scale bioinformatics and genomics company, where I was involved in high-throughput genetic data analysis and interpretation. During this time, I gained experience working with sequencing data and computational pipelines. I am currently pursuing my Ph.D. in bioinformatics, where my research focuses on understanding androgen receptor (AR)-driven transcriptional regulation and lineage plasticity in prostate cancer. My work integrates single-cell and spatial transcriptomics with computational and machine learning approaches to investigate how prostate tumors transition toward treatment-induced neuroendocrine phenotypes (NEPC). In particular, I am interested in building comprehensive reference atlases and uncovering chromatin-mediated regulatory mechanisms underlying these transitions. Outside of research, I enjoy staying active through walking and yoga, and I like exploring new food spots and spending time with family and friends.
